Definition of Personal Information
Personal information is defined as information that can be used to identify a specific individual, including address, name, date of birth, gender, place of employment, title, position, telephone number, e-mail address and other information that can be used to identify a specific individual (including information that can be easily cross-checked with other information to identify a specific individual), as well as characters, numbers, symbols or other marks that can be used to identify a specific individual.
Purpose of Use of Personal Information
FIMECS uses personal information for the purposes listed below. FIMECS will not use personal information beyond the scope necessary to achieve the purposes without the consent of the person concerned. However, to the extent necessary, FIMECS may use the information as statistical data in a form that does not identify individuals in order to improve the services of FIMECS. In addition, if there are individual purposes of use other than those listed below, such purposes shall be clearly indicated on a case-by-case basis.

When personal information is acquired, FIMECS will promptly notify the person concerned of the purpose of use of the personal information or publicly announce it in the Policy. However, this excludes cases in which the purpose of use falls under “Purposes of Use of Personal Information”. If the purpose of use is changed, FIMECS will notify the person concerned of the change or make it public through the Policy.
Ensuring Accuracy of Personal Information
FIMECS will endeavor to keep personal information accurate and up-to-date.
Security Control Measures
Personal information will be stored and managed strictly, and measures will be taken to prevent leakage, loss, or damage of personal information and for other security control.
Supervision of Employees and Contractors
FIMECS will provide appropriate guidance, education and supervision to the employees regarding the handling of personal information. FIMECS also take necessary and appropriate measures for contractors to whom FIMECS outsources the handling of personal information.
Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
FIMECS will not disclose or provide personal information to third parties without the consent of the person concerned, except in the following cases;
- When FIMECS has received prior consent from the person concerned
- When FIMECS outsources the handling of personal information to a third party within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use
- When disclosure or provision of personal information is required by law

Inquiries about Personal Information
In accordance with the provisions of the law, FIMECS will appropriately and promptly perform procedures for notification of the purpose of use, disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, and suspension of provision to a third party of personal information. Identification by personal identification documents (driver’s license, health insurance card, passport, etc.) is required to apply for the procedures. Disclosure of Personal Information Aggregated Data to Third Parties
FIMECS may disclose statistical data (that does not identify individuals) that is compiled from personal information to third parties including companies related to the management of FIMECS or the website of FIMECS, potential users of the website of FIMECS, advertisers, and others, for purposes other than those described in “Purpose of Use of Personal Information” (such as explaining the services of FIMECS, conducting business, and other legitimate purposes).
Use of Cookies
FIMECS may collect “Aggregate Information” and “Cookie Information” from users in the process of using the website of FIMECS for the purpose of improving the convenience of the website and appropriate website operation. “Aggregate information” refers to the habits, usage patterns and statistical information of a group of users, and does not identify specific users.
“Cookie Information” is information that is transferred from a website to the hard disk of the computer of the user for record-keeping purposes. By storing the information selected by the user on a particular website, the convenience of the website is improved. Note that Cookies can be used to identify the computer of the user, but not the user himself/herself. The website of FIMECS collects access logs to check access status and for appropriate website management. Log information is used only as statistical information and is not associated with personal information. FIMECS does not disclose log information to any third party.

The Policy is subject to change without prior notice due to revisions of laws and regulations or the judgment of FIMECS. In such cases, the revised privacy policy will be posted on the website of FIMECS.
